Design Specifications For Cast Steel Valves
GELİŞİM® cast steel valves are designed in accordance with the specifications set by API – American Petroleum Institute and ANSI – American National Standards Institute.
These organisations have determined the design specifications of the valves (shell thickness, stem diameter, flange dimensions, etc.). Thus, the products of various manufacturers, instead of being compatible only with their own pressure-temperature groups, are ensured to be compatible with interchangeable specifications within the internationally determined ranges.
GELİŞİM®’s production policy is in compliance with all these standardisation studies and programmes. Standards are strictly complied with in terms of end-to-end (L length) and flange dimensions. The shell thickness of the valves is above the minimum value determined by the standards. Body and covers are rounded with appropriate radii in terms of strength and durability is increased. With the measures taken in the corner and other recessed parts, the formation of casting defects in these areas is prevented.
As a result of the precautions taken during the design phase and careful work, good quality castings can be obtained and a smooth flow is provided with the desired strength. With this design, the best quality, strength and efficiency are obtained.
